3PL Central, a provider of cloud-based third-party logistics (3PL) and warehouse management software (WMS) solutions based in Manhattan Beach, Calif., acquired Traker Systems (referred to as iTracker), a provider of cloud-based inventory control software headquartered in Temecula, Calif.
The combined companies deliver a suite of comprehensive warehouse management, inventory control and logistics software solutions to over 1,300 customers globally. The addition of talent and resources allows 3PL Central to accelerate product innovation and expand services.
“We are thrilled to welcome iTracker’s customers and employees to the 3PL Central family,” says John Watkins, chief executive officer of 3PL Central. “Rich [Moline] and I both ran 3PL warehouse businesses, and have a shared vision for delivering world-class software from the cloud that addresses the complexities of the 3PL warehousing environment we faced as business owners. The combined organization truly understands the pain points of its customers, and Rich and I believe that together, we are better positioned to deliver the most efficient and cost-effective solution in the industry. The addition of iTracker’s team augments 3PL Central’s expertise in transportation, cold storage and light manufacturing. We see B2C continuing to outpace B2B, driving the need for solutions that focus on e-commerce, as well as pick, pack and ship.”
“The combination is very exciting,” adds Rich Moline, president of iTracker. “It creates a compelling value proposition for all prospective WMS customers looking for a trusted SaaS provider. The strength and experience of the combined teams will accelerate our shared vision for growth and help our customers access best-in-class software and technology from the cloud.”
Watkins will continue in his role as chief executive officer of the newly combined company, and Moline will become executive vice president, enterprise and strategic accounts at 3PL Central.
