PAC Machinery, San Rafael, Calif., broke ground on its new Clamco product development and manufacturing facility expansion.
The 26,000-square-foot expansion will add needed manufacturing capacity to its existing sales, product development and manufacturing facility in Berea, Ohio.
"The demand for Clamco shrink wrapping equipment and automatic baggers has been growing steadily, and our Berea, Ohio, facility offered the most logical location to add manufacturing capability," says Serge Berguig, president and CEO of PAC Machinery. "Our strategy is to concentrate our packaging industry expertise in key locations, where product development, manufacturing and sales teams can work together more closely."
Much of the expansion will be devoted to the manufacture of specialized baggers used in the package fulfillment industry.
It is estimated that the Clamco expansion will add nearly 30 jobs over the next 3-5 years.
