Marlen International, Inc., Riverside, Mo., announced an exclusive partnership with Quendal FoodTech Machinery, Monterrey, Mexico, to represent Marlen’s thermal processing solutions in Mexico, including custom-built batch ovens, blast chill cells and industrial dehydrators.
The team behind Quendal has been serving local meat processors dating back to 1987 with engineering, sales, service and manufacturing capabilities. The partnership leverages the extensive product knowledge, customer connections and depth of the food processing equipment industry experience that both companies share.
“We are looking forward to this expanded partnership to grow our market share internationally in the thermal processing space,” says Bob Campbell, Marlen’s president. “The unique relationship we have with Quendal allows us to execute on Latin American opportunities for thermal sales, service and parts in a market where we’ve sold only food processing equipment in the past. In order to enter the market in Mexico at a time when there is rapid growth in meat products, we knew it was important to collaborate with an equipment manufacturer like Quendal, who understands the needs of the meat processors while maintaining the competency to assess, design and build quality equipment.”
“We are excited to represent Marlen’s thermal processing solutions in Mexico, and are looking forward to opening new doors in the industrial meat processing space,” adds Jose Luis Malagon, owner of Quendal FoodTech Machinery.
