Performance Food Group, Richmond, Va., acquired Ellenbee Leggett, a broadline foodservice operation based in Cincinnati, Ohio.
“This acquisition represents a key strategic growth opportunity and expands our geographic presence,” says Dave Flitman, president and CEO of Performance Foodservice. “Ellenbee’s geographic footprint will enable us to strengthen our position and grow our product offering in the region.”
Following completion of the transaction, the company will become part of PFG’s Performance Foodservice division and will be referred to as Performance Foodservice ‒ Ellenbee. Tom Koeninger will become president of Performance Foodservice ‒ Ellenbee; all other current members of the Ellenbee leadership will remain in place.

Ellenbee Leggett was founded in 1960, and its customers range from independent and multi-unit restaurants to schools, healthcare facilities, caterers and commissaries. The company employs approximately 100 people.
