Nestlé USA, Glendale, Calif., announced its new 2020 commitments together with three long-term ambitions, in support of the 2030 United Nations Sustainable Development Goals.

The long-term ambitions include helping 50 million children lead healthier lives; helping to improve 30 million livelihoods in communities directly connected to its business activities; and striving for zero environmental impact in its operations.

One example is a global commitment to reduce the sugar added in products by 5% by 2020. In Europe alone, reaching this target will mean removing at least 18,000 tons of sugar from products.
