The inaugural ProFood Tech, which takes place April 4-6 at Chicago’s McCormick Place, is said to be the only tradeshow geared exclusively toward food and beverage processors.
Powered by PMMI, the Reston, Va.-based producer of the PACK EXPO shows; Germany-based Koelnmesse, producer of Anuga Fair Trade shows; and the International Dairy Foods Association (IDFA), Washington, D.C., ProFood Tech will offer a full range of processing solutions for food and beverage, baking and snack, frozen and prepared foods, dairy, seafood and meat and poultry.
More than 400 of the world’s top suppliers will showcase their latest processing solutions to 6,000 processing professionals across 150,000 net square feet of exhibit space. On the show floor, attendees can find never-before-seen educational programming, attend keynote sessions and witness the latest innovations up close.
Solutions across industries
Solutions to key issues facing food and beverage processing operators in North America will be on display. In addition to serving as a stage for processing innovation, the show will be a resource for insights and new solutions to improve efficiencies and manage challenges.
Innovation stage and regulatory matters
Educational programming on the show floor will include 45 hours of industry-targeted conference sessions. Each unique session will focus on consumer trends and industry issues that pertain to specific markets. This conference program targets food and beverage manufacturers by providing the latest updates on trends, troubleshooting major industry issues and sharing first-hand insight on best practices for food processing and workforce development strategies. The Innovation Stage includes free, 30-minute seminars led by major industry leaders from heavy-hitting suppliers.
The ProFood Tech Learning Hub will also include Regulatory Matters, sessions focused specifically on regulatory changes. Industry experts will present on key issues such as the Food Safety Modernization Act (FSMA), recall avoidance, traceability, food safety management and more. Each free session is 30 minutes long and will provide an opportunity for discussion afterwards.
The Dairy Pavilion
The Dairy Pavilion, presented by IDFA, will replace IDFA’s International Dairy Show, and will allow professionals the opportunity to connect with key industry suppliers, learn more about consumer demands in the dairy space and witness first-hand the latest technologies and innovations.
The ProFood Tech Conference Program
The show will also feature the ProFood Tech Conference Program, powered by IDFA, which showcases groundbreaking research to inform attendees on major industry trends on the horizon. The conference will also provide updates on strategies for regulations and food safety standards that are changing the food and beverage landscape. Sessions will also address best practices in business and leadership development.
Additionally, the ProFood Tech Conference Program teamed up with Peyton Manning, the 5-time National Football League MVP, to provide a keynote address titled “Winning Strategies with Peyton Manning,” which will take place April 4 from 8-9:15 a.m.
Registration for ProFood Tech will also include admission to ProMat and Automate 2017, hosted by MHI, Charlotte, N.C., and held April 3–6.
