VOLPAK, Spain, in partnership with R.A Jones, Covington, Ky., launched the patented Standcap Pouch, which allows manufacturers to adopt functional pouch packaging to revitalize signature brands, improve shelf appeal, differentiate the package from rigid containers and enhance the overall customer experience.
The inverted pouch style incorporates a squeezable wedge-style shape and a distinctive flip-top cap.
VOLPAK's patented system includes what is said to be the first and only horizontal form-fill-seal packaging machine capable of forming and filling the pouch while placing and securing the flip-top cap all in one complete system. R.A JONES plans to launch complete and patented pre-made pouch solutions based on the VOLPAK system by the end of the year for converters, co-packers and brand owners
The VOLPAK system is capable of filling a wide range of products, such as toppings, creams, jellies, cake decorating paste, honey, mayonnaise, ketchup, tomato paste, salad dressings, sauces and more.
