Tompkins International, Raleigh, N.C., joined forces with Lab Z, Germany, to introduce an innovative material handling sortation system called t-Sort.

With t-Sort, robots move independently rather than on a track. Robots can also be added at peak season and taken out of service when not needed.

Robots charge 5 minutes every 2-4 hours by driving into charging stations. And, the control system is locally hosted and integrated with Tompkins’ warehouse execution system.
