Frigo Stahl SA, Greece, completed the construction to its 10.000-ton cold storage, sorting and packing facility for potatoes and onions at Shendi City, North Sudan.

The facility consists of a 9,5m tall building with total floor area of 7.900m². There are eight cold storage rooms with a capacity of 1.300 tons each, and a sorting and packing building with 1.500m² floor area.

The building frame is made out of steel, with all roofs, ceilings and walls made of sandwich panels.

The mechanical equipment includes 16 AHU that are connected to Freon-operated, water-cooled condensing units specific for potato and onion storage facilities.
