Tekni-Plex, Inc., Wayne, Pa., acquired the assets of BrunaSeals, a Doral, Fla.-based producer of induction seals and foam closure liners for beverages. Going forward, BrunaSeals will become part of Tri-Seal, Tekni-Plex’s global closure liners business unit.

BrunaSeals offers expertise in embossing, printing, foil stamping, die cutting, removal and closure lining capabilities under the ProTecSeals brand.

“BrunaSeal’s expertise in supporting the Latin American marketplace coupled with its innovative product line will help further expand the global Tri-Seal closure liner business,” says David Andrulonis, senior vice president and general manager, Tri-Seal. “The combined capabilities create an even stronger liners portfolio from which to service brand owners around the world.”

Juan Bruna, president and founder of BrunaSeals, will support the Tri-Seal business unit in future business development efforts.
