Inland Seafood, Atlanta, announced plans to expand its Birmingham, Ala., foodservice production facility, thus creating 50 new jobs in Phase 1.
The Birmingham plant will provide various value-added fish, seafood, meat and other center-of-the-plate protein products to restaurants, grocery stores and other customers. Once the facility is completed and all departments are in full swing, Inland Seafood projects to offer over 100 additional new jobs.
The plant will house a sales center, a centralized distribution warehouse, a value-added operation and a state-of-the-art culinary training center offering continuing education in culinary arts.
“Inland is proud of the participation we have always had in the communities we serve,” says Chris Rosenberger, president. “We are only as good as the people in our buildings, and we are thrilled to fill the new facility with the locals we have been serving for the past 11 years in Birmingham.”
