Spirax Sarco, Blythewood, S.C., released the Steam Jet Thermocompressor, an energy saving device that compresses low-pressure steam, often waste steam, to a higher pressure that can be utilized by additional applications.

This unit is simple in construction and consists of three fundamental components—motive steam nozzle, suction body and a diffuser. This compact and lightweight design makes it easy to install into a pipeline and enables overhead installations. It also comes in stainless steel, carbon steel, titanium, chrome and molybdenum.

Steam Jet Thermocompressors have no moving or rotating parts, and comply with ASME B31.3 mechanical design standards.
