Primitive Feast, Los Angeles, launched its line of quick, “clean” meals crafted from high-protein ingredients that contain no added sugars or preservatives.
The company’s five initial product offerings include Chicken Masala, Chicken in Bell Pepper Sauce, Grass-fed Beef Chili, Grass-fed Beef Meatballs in Marinara Sauce and Chili Verde with Chicken.
Each single-serving package ranges between 240-440 calories apiece and provides between 27-38 grams of protein per serving.
“As a recreational athlete with a full-time job, I sought to simplify meal preparation to save time,” says Betty Morin, chief executive officer. “The link between healthy food and performance is widely understood now. Whether the goal is to maintain a healthy lifestyle, feed kids a quick meal after soccer practice or optimize athletic performance, Primitive Feast makes eating healthy meals convenient so consumers can focus on racing through their busy day.”
These new frozen entrées will soon be available in more than 300 retail grocery stores throughout Southern California, with both Vicente Foods and Bristol Farms stores being the first to bring them into all 12 southern California locations.
