Gorbett Enterprises of Solon Inc., dba Great Lakes Cold Storage, broke ground on a 60,000-square-foot expansion at its Solon, Ohio, headquarters location. This expansion is likely to add another 50 jobs; the company currently employs approximately 130 people.

This $9.5 million expansion is the first of several phases, which intend to create 68 new full-time positions over the next 4 years. In addition, Great Lakes Cold Storage anticipates investing more than $2 million in current facility improvements.

Great Lakes Cold Storage partnered with Arco Design/Build, Houston, Texas, to lead the construction management of the expansion.
