Califia Farms, Los Angeles, completed the expansion of its state-of-the-art Bakersfield, Calif., plant.
The 100,000-square-foot addition includes two more production lines to produce 400 bottles of refrigerated beverages a minute.
“Demand for our great-tasting, premium plant-based beverages has grown significantly year-over-year – not only here in the U.S., but in several key international markets as well, including the UK, Canada and Australia. In order to meet the continued and growing demand for the 90-plus SKUs we produce at our Bakersfield plant, we’ve invested significantly in two new state-of-the-art production lines and have tripled our capacity,” says Greg Steltenpohl, chief executive officer.
Califia has continuously re-tooled the Bakersfield plant to meet demand, which now includes consumers in Canada, UK and Australia. The expansion facility also expands capacity of company’s proprietary production processes to produce Almondmilks, non-dairy creamers and nitrogenated cold brew coffees.
In May 2016, the facilty underwent an expansion to its distribution center.
