ENHANCED FEATURES TO VIBRATORY CONVEYORS

Key Technology introduced new features to its lineup of vibratory conveyors. The new patented, stainless-steel grounding arm, for example, consists of a single structure, smooth texture and open design to enhance sanitation and improve durability. Mounted to Key’s StrongArm spring arms to dissipate static between the conveyor bed and frame, this grounding arm presents no horizontal surfaces where liquid, product or particulates can pool. The redesigned oil-free drives feature a smaller footprint and a more open mount, making these maintenance-free drives more sanitary. The new Vector-Lock Gen 2, used to secure removable screens and covers, boasts a larger hook, a bigger radius and additional over-center latching for quick release and quick closing while maximizing load carrying capabilities.

MOBILE FLEXIBLE SCREW CONVEYOR

A new mobile flexible screw conveyor from Flexicon features multi-purpose hood transfer material discharged from bulk bags and/or manually dumped from handheld sacks into elevated process equipment or storage vessels. Mounted on a frame with locking casters for in-plant mobility, the system eliminates heavy frame components and relies on the user’s forklift or plant hoist to suspend the bag above the unit during operation. An iris valve positioned atop the dust hood allows variable control of flow through the bulk bag spout. A bag support tray and hinged door allows the manual addition of minor ingredients from handheld sacks. This flexible screw conveyor transports free- and non-free-flowing bulk materials, including products that pack, cake, smear, seize or fluidize, with no separation of blends.

PRECISION MOVE PALLET SYSTEM FOR HEAVIER, WIDER LOADS

Dorner’s 2200 Series Precision Move Pallet Systems feature heavy load corners, tight turn corners, low-profile lift and locates, elevators and more. The new heavy load corner design allows the conveyor to carry pallet loads up to 70 pounds around 90- or 180-degree corners. Additionally, pallets can be accumulated in the corner, an advantage said to not typically exist in most corner systems. The Dorner Pin Tracking system eliminates the need for other transfer devices while maintaining pallet orientation through the loop. Elevators can transport heights from 18-120 inches top of belt. And, DTools, Dorner’s online conveyor configurator, configures simple or complex systems in minutes, complete with 2D and 3D CAD drawings and other functions, giving customers the design tools needed to fully configure their belt conveyor systems.
