A-B-C Packaging Machine’s 700 series robotic palletizers automatically accumulate and stack cases, trays, bags or shrink-wrapped multipacks in multiple configurations and pallet loads. Standard systems include product transport and staging conveyors, high visibility guarding, Allen Bradley controls and programming for product requirements, a high payload robot and appropriate product handling devices for single or dual infeed and pallet building. Additional pallet patterns are easily programmed by the end user and uploaded at the operator panel for seamless transition to new products or packs. The pallet programming software automatically sets the most efficient arm movement to maximize palletizing speed. A variety of end-of-arm tools are available to accommodate all product types. Options include automation of empty pallet transfer and slipsheet/picture frame inserting. Robotic control or separate devices may be integrated, depending on speed and space requirements.

Dorner debuted 3D Preview, a fully interactive, live experience now available for the company’s 2200 Series Precision Move Pallet System. When building conveyors in DTools, Dorner’s online conveyor configurator, a 3D CAD model is simultaneously developed to match the designs. As the conveyor is modified, the configuration updates to correspond with those changes, giving customers live updates and rotatable 3D views of their conveyor systems prior to submitting for quotation.

Point Five Packaging introduced the P5-RM Semi-Automatic Seal System.
Point Five Packaging introduced the P5-RM Semi-Automatic Seal System. Ideal for any food production or packaging environment, this machine is configurable for sealing trays or cups using modified atmosphere packaging (MAP), vacuum skin packaging (VSP) or seal-only packaging. The manual, easy-to-operate rotary table cuts cycle times and optimizes output, as it enables sealing, loading and unloading to occur simultaneously. The operator loads pre-filled containers into the machine and manually rotates the table under the seal head. While the seal head engages to seal, MAP or VSP the containers, the operator readies the second nest plate with product. Upon completion of the seal cycle, the operator rotates the table again and repeats the cycle. The P5-RM can be combined with system conveyors, fillers and depositors to create a super-efficient automation cell. The P5-RM can produce up to 28 sealed containers, 20 MAP trays and 16 VSP trays per minute. Seal head changeover can be performed in under five minutes, and a user-friendly PLC color touchscreen interface allows quick, simple product setup, storage of up to 99 unique recipes and multiple language selection.
