Win Chill Cold Storage breaks ground on Phase 2 of its 205,000-square-foot, state-of-the-art cold storage facility at its Sioux Falls, S.D., headquarters.

The new warehouse, designed by Tippmann Innovation (TI), Fort Wayne, Ind., includes over 30,000 pallet positions and 1,100 positions of TI’s QF+ in-rack freezing system, is equipped with 16 dock doors and is rail served.

Phase 2 is slated to be completed in December, and includes a 126,000-square-foot freezer addition with 9 loading docks and 18,900 pallet positions.

"We are excited for the continued development of this project. The owners of Win Chill have been extremely engaged in the construction of this new facility, and they were ready to move forward with expansion when the opportunity was presented," says Rob Adams, partner at TI.

Phase 1 of construction began in June 2017.
