CAS DataLoggers, Chesterland, Ohio, introduced the new LogBox BLE wireless data logger from Novus Automation, Miami, Fla. The LogBox BLE offers local or cloud-based data management for connectivity in keeping with the Internet of Things (IoT).
The design of the LogBox BLE makes it easy to connect to most common sensors. It features three universal analog inputs, which accept direct connection from thermocouples, Pt100 RTD temperature sensors or other sensors with 4-20mA or voltage outputs. It also provides one digital input that can record events such as opening a door or counting pulses from a device like a flow meter.
A key feature is its wireless Bluetooth 4.1 (Bluetooth low energy/BLE) interface, which allows users to access recorded data directly from a smartphone using the LogChart BLE application. It also includes a USB interface to allow connection to a PC using the NXperience software. Both applications allow configuration, collection and analysis of records, as well as the possibility to publish them in the NOVUS cloud portal to create a central repository and dashboard for one or multiple devices.
LogBox BLE features include:
• 3-line LCD display
• Internal storage for 140,000 data points
• Battery or external power
• 1 digital output
• Local high and low alarm limits
• Audible alarm output
The LogBox BLE is designed for applications that require accuracy in recording temperature data, such as laboratories, cold rooms, refrigerators and freezer or data centers.
