Ducktrap River of Maine opened its second smoked seafood facility in Belfast, Maine, adjacent to the existing Ducktrap smokehouse and headquarters site.
The design and construction of the new plant integrated best practices from international smokehouses, as well as technologically advanced kilns, slicers and packaging equipment from France, Denmark and Germany.
The 50,000-square-foot smokehouse increases Ducktrap’s production capacity by 75%, and will exclusively produce cold smoked salmon.
