ALOM announced an 110,000-square-foot addition to its Fremont, Calif., headquarters plant, which includes state-of-the-art production, fulfillment and inventory management capacity.
“Today is a day of gratitude. I am grateful for our customers who are making our continued growth and expansion possible. I am grateful for our suppliers and supporters. I am first and foremost grateful to our ALOM employees, whose unwavering dedication to customer focus, quality and innovation is clearly a recipe for success,” says Hannah Kain, president and CEO. “While also expanding globally, launching this new state-of-the-art production and fulfillment facility as part of our corporate headquarters in the Silicon Valley innovation corridor provides proximity to emerging technology, added flexibility to meet the fast changing needs of our customer base and even more capacity to service new customer programs.”
“With trade policies in so much flux, near-sourcing becomes a compelling proposition for many companies,” says Lisa Dolan, vice president, supply chain strategy. “Companies benefit from being close to the markets, both in terms of time and money. With our expanded capacity in the U.S., we continue to be the premier supply chain partner for corporations that value customer service and protecting their brand. The added capacity support and agility allows us to fulfill up to 41,000 orders per hour during peak time.”
With this move, ALOM expands its service capacity in North America to meet growing demand and provide enhanced procurement, production, fulfillment and freight management service levels for major global brands.
