Applegate Farms, LLC, a Bridgewater, N.J.-based division of Hormel Foods Corp., teamed up with Whole30 to open up The Clean Slate Café, what is said to be the first-ever pop-up dining experience serving only Whole30 Approved options to New York City.

The Clean Slate Café will offer complimentary meal, snack and drink options that are made with clean, simple ingredients from Applegate; Spindrift Beverage Co., Newton, Mass.; Kettle & Fire, Walnut, Calif.; Primal Kitchen, an Oxnard, Calif.-based division of Kraft Heinz Co.; CHOMPS, Naples, Fla.; and Vital Farms, Austin, Texas.

“We are thrilled to work with such a fantastic group of brands who support the Whole30 community by delivering delicious, Whole30-compliant options people can and want to say yes to,” says Melissa Hartwig Urban, co-founder of Whole30. “It’s exciting to see these brands joining forces in the spirit of community and connection; there’s something here for everyone who wants a fresh start to the New Year.”

Since Applegate and Whole30 joined forces last year, Applegate began rolling out new Whole30 Approved product.

“So many people know and trust Applegate for our worry-free meats, and were already including us in their Whole30 experience, but the excitement we saw when we officially became Whole30 Approved was astonishing,” says Nicole Glenn, vice president of marketing for Applegate. “We wanted to start the second year of our partnership with Whole30 in a big way that would really mean something to our fans and the Whole30 community.  All of us at Applegate are eager to bring The Clean Slate Café to life, and are proud to be teaming up with Spindrift sparkling water, Kettle & Fire bone broth, Primal Kitchen, CHOMPS meat sticks and Vital Farms to make this a fun and interactive experience. We all share a common goal—making foods and beverages with simple, clean ingredients that are craveable and convenient.”

The Clean Slate Café menu will pair Applegate’s natural and organic bacon, burgers and hot dogs with Primal Kitchen’s dressings and condiments and Vital Farms’ grass-fed eggs to create customized cauliflower rice- or kale-based bowls or collard wraps filled with Applegate’s carrageenan-free deli meat.

Located in the SoHo area at 446 Broadway (between Grand St & Howard St.), New York, The Clean Slate Café will be open to the public Jan. 23-25.
