Turkey Hill Dairy transitions to 100% renewable energy
Safe Harbor will supply 60% of the dairy’s annual energy needs.

Turkey Hill Dairy, Lancaster County, Pa., officially transitioned to 100% renewable energy, thanks to a new relationship with the Safe Harbor Dam, located just a few miles from the dairy.
Safe Harbor is a hydroelectric dam that uses the Susquehanna River to make electricity, and will supply 60% of the dairy’s annual energy needs. That, combined with the wind turbines and an additional purchase of “Renewable Energy Credits,” will bring the dairy up to 100% renewable energy.
