Cavendish Farms, Canada, constructed a new $360 million frozen potato processing plant in Lethbridge, Canada, scheduled to be completed by the fall.

“Today marks another step toward our new, state-of-the-art Cavendish Farms plant in Lethbridge,” says Robert Irving, president. “This significant investment in this community reinforces our commitment to the region and our employees, growers and customers. The Alberta and federal governments and the City of Lethbridge have established the general infrastructure necessary to allow us to build our new plant here.”

The new plant will almost triple Cavendish Farms’ annual production capacity in Lethbridge to meet growing demand.
