NSF International, Ann Arbor, Mich., announced the sale of its laboratory in Dutch Harbor, Alaska, to Jeff Brammer, who until recently, served as NSF International‘s seafood services business unit manager in North America. Brammer will continue to manage the location under the name Makushin Bay Resources. All systems and scientific equipment will remain with the lab.
Makushin Bay Resources will continue to perform analytical services, including customized evaluations to specifications and methodologies and chemical and microbiological testing.
“We recognize this purchase is a significant milestone and growth opportunity for our staff and the Dutch Harbor community,” says Brammer. “Moving forward as Makushin Bay Resources with our dedicated expert staff, we will continue to grow our operations by focusing on the individual needs of each client. This will allow us to expand and align services with the current business environment. Over the past few years, I have had the privilege of getting to know many people and businesses in the Unalaska/Dutch Harbor region, and I’ve witnessed the vibrant community spirit. We are committed to this region and plan to be an integral part for the long term.”
