Shopify Inc., Canada, announced plans to acquire 6 River Systems, Inc., a Waltham, Mass.-based provider of collaborative warehouse fulfillment solutions.
With this acquisition, Shopify will add 6 River Systems’ cloud-based software and collaborative mobile robots called “Chuck” to its newly released Shopify Fulfillment Network to increase the speed and reliability of warehouse operations, including inventory replenishment, picking, sorting and packing.
