Bristol Bay Native Corp. (BBNC), Anchorage, Ak., acquired Blue North Fisheries, and Clipper Seafoods, both Seattle, Wash.-based suppliers of frozen longline cod.

"The Alaska fisheries are an integral part of our shareholders’ lives, and our acquisition of these two leading operators in the Pacific cod sector represented a unique opportunity for our group to enter the strategically important seafood industry,” says Jason Metrokin, president and CEO of BBNC. 

The recently-merged companies now operate under Bristol Bay Alaska Seafoods LLC (BBAS) a newly-formed subsidiary of BBNC. Senior management from both companies, including David Little, president of Clipper Seafoods, and Michael Burns and Patrick Burns, co-founders of Blue North, will continue to be involved in the operation of BBAS.
