The specialty food industry continues to be a bright spot in the U.S. economy, and is now a $120.5 billion dollar industry, according to a new report by the Specialty Food Association.

Analysts at the Specialty Food Association, New York, predict that consumers will push meat products aside in favor of vegetables and other produce.

In 2014, sales of specialty food topped $100 billion for the first time, with retail and foodservice sales reaching a record $109 billion.
