The Association for Advancing Automation (A3), the Ann Arbor, Mich.-based umbrella trade association for the Robotic Industries Association (RIA), AIA - Advancing Vision + Imaging and the Motion Control Association (MCA), launched a new website, www.A3automate.org.
It was a blistering 5°F accompanied by a wind chill advisory and a mile-long line at the coat check, but that didn’t stop the 30,000-plus visitors from attending ProMat and Automate 2013, Jan. 21-24 at McCormick Place in Chicago.
Citing increased sales to food processors, business enterprise and on-demand software supplier AFS Technologies Inc., Phoenix, said it named Lance Anderson as vice president, national sales-food manufacturing.
