Made with lightly seasoned Panko breadcrumbs and 100% whole, wild-caught Alaska Pollock fillets or tender butterfly shrimp, the products are fried with hot air—not oil—through Gorton's proprietary process

The startup is developing ultra-realistic calamari, shrimp, scallops, and filets of tuna and whitefish with a proprietary mycoprotein fermentation process.

Gorton’s Seafood will offer its value-sized, 32-ounce package of butterfly shrimp for a limited time at more than 1,200 Kroger locations nationwide.

NaturalShrimp, an aquaculture company which has developed and patented the first commercially operational Recirculating Aquaculture System (RAS) for shrimp, announced the acquisition of assets for Alder Aqua, formerly known as VeroBlue Farms in Webster City, Iowa, including but not limited to the real property, equipment, tanks, rolling stock, inventory, permits, customer lists, contracts and other such assets used in the operation of the business.
