Graeter’s Ice Cream, a 151-year-old, family-owned craft ice cream brand, announces its 2021 Mystery Flavor: Caramel Macchiato. Graeter’s Ice Cream, known for its indulgent, handcrafted flavors, signature chocolate chips and Old World French Pot process, is celebrating 150 years of business with their annual introduction of Bonus Flavors. In all, four new Bonus Flavors will be released in Graeter’s scoop shops and online, with the third being Peanut Butter & Jelly. A secret that remains under lock and key until the day it’s released, guests will be made aware of the new flavors via broadcast media, social media, local scoop shops, the Graeter’s App and online store.

Graeter’s Ice Cream, family owned since 1870, is celebrating its 150th birthday with the creation of a special ice cream flavor and a limited-edition birthday doughnut. Each of the specialty products will be released on July 1 coinciding with National Ice Cream Month and in celebration of Graeter’s birthday. Graeter’s new “Birthday Cake” ice cream flavor is a celebratory blend of cake pieces and sprinkles in cake batter ice cream. Meanwhile, the limited-edition birthday cake flavored doughnut, fully glazed, iced with rainbow sprinkles inside and out, is available at select Cincinnati-area scoop shops.
While Graeter’s continue to remain tried and true to its French Pot process, it is working toward SQF Level 3 certification, plans to expand its on-site frozen storage capability and continue to expand its distribution network.
Today, the $60-70 million company continues to develop new flavors and expand its footprint and maintain its leadership in the e-commerce space, all while preparing to celebrate its 150-year anniversary in 2020.
