The companies announced a partnership to provide robotic solutions to help grocery, e-commerce and retail customers meet the demands of today’s connected consumers.
Rytec Corporation has introduced a new addition to its fabric product line – the Sure-Seal Conveyor Door. This new door is uniquely designed for automated storage and retrieval environments (ASRS). Combining speeds of up to 100”/second and an energy-efficient R-4 insulated panel, it helps maintain secure separation within and between storage areas and conveyor operations.
The human body isn’t designed to work in sub-zero temperatures, yet the majority of frozen food operations conduct warehousing activities manually, requiring workers to physically withstand harsh environments. In order to combat these inefficiencies, today’s most forward-thinking food operations are turning to automation technology to decouple labor from sub-zero environments.
The new UltraStore Automated Storage and Retrieval System (ASRS) from Integrated Systems Design, Wixom, Mich., provides up to 85% space savings for refrigerated and frozen food items, cases, pallets and custom materials with unique sizes and dimensions.
The latest generation of ASRS allow deep-freeze warehouses to maintain precision product identification and rotation, provide rapid throughput at near 100% accuracy levels and are considerably more energy-efficient than traditional automated systems.
Automated material handling solutions providers Intelligrated, Mason, Ohio, and Swisslog Holding AG, Buchs, Switzerland, said they formed a strategic alliance in North America to serve food, beverage and retail markets.
