Winkler Plastic announced a new branding initiative that rebrands the Vernon, Calif., company as Nuconic Packaging, an amalgamation of several words core to the company’s mission—new (Nu-), containers (-con-) and plastic (-ic).
The use of container sanitizing equipment ensures that pathogens and other contaminants won’t get into the processing plant, where it can taint finished food products, tarnish brand names and even instigate recalls and litigation.
Anchor Packaging, Inc., St. Louis, added a 38-ounce container to its Mega-Meal product line. This shallow container is perfect for appetizers, fingerfoods, desserts, cut fruitand more.
The Closure and Container Manufacturers Association and the Association of Postconsumer Plastic Recyclers launched “Caps On,” which encourages consumers to keep the caps on plastic bottles at time of recycling.
