A special report by food industry firm HUNTER says 51% of Americans continue to cook more, and 71% of those who have been cooking at home intend to continue the habit to save money, eat healthier, and feel better.
Tyson Foods is voluntarily recalling approximately 8.5 million pounds of frozen, fully cooked chicken as a precaution due to possible exposure to Listeria monocytogenes, a harmful bacteria. The affected products were produced at one plant located in Dexter, Missouri, between December 26 of 2020 and April 13 of 2021 and distributed to foodservice and retail customers nationwide and Puerto Rico.

Poultry producer Bell & Evans is experiencing significant growth in its organic chicken program, increasing its need for U.S. grown organic-certified corn and soybeans used in its organic chicken feed. The family-owned producer finalized a long-term sourcing agreement with global ag leader Cargill to exclusively secure its organic grain and increase domestic organic grain supply. Under the agreement, Cargill will incentivize U.S. farmers to transition acreage from conventional to organic management through subsidized organic crop consulting services provided by organic pioneer Rodale Institute.
