SpartanNash has started installing 1,420 36-inch square, clear plexiglass sneeze guards at its 155 corporate-owned retail stores, pharmacies and Quick Stop fuel centers as an added measure of safety for its family of associates and store guests. Every cashier station, deli counter, pharmacy, customer service counter and Quick Stop fuel center checkout will have the added safety measure installed by April 3, 2020.

H-E-B, in partnership with Favor Delivery, will launch a simple, low-cost solution that gives seniors access to their very own personal shopper by phone, allowing them to get essential food and supplies delivered to them, while remaining in the comfort and safety of their home.
Effective immediately, Tuesdays and Thursdays between 7 a.m. and 9 a.m. will be set aside as reserved hours for vulnerable populations.

SpartanNash and its family for retail stores will set aside time twice per week for store guests most at risk of contracting coronavirus (COVID-19), including older adults, pregnant women and immunocompromised individuals. Reserved hours will be every Tuesday and Thursday from 7 a.m. to 9 a.m.

Giant Food, the greater Washington D.C. regional grocery chain, proudly announced that it received a score of 100% on the Human Rights Campaign Foundation's 2020 Corporate Equality Index (CEI), the nation's premier benchmarking survey and report measuring corporate policies and practices related to LGBTQ workplace equality. Giant Food joins the ranks of more than 680 major U.S. businesses that also earned top marks this year.
Seal the Seasons, the first national brand to sell locally grown frozen fruit, has expanded its distribution to seven new retailers over the last six months and is now available in more than 3,000 locations across 35 states.
The acquired stores will be converted to SUPERVALU’s Shop ‘N Save format.

The Kroger Co. and Roundy's, Inc., announced a definitive merger agreement under which Kroger will purchase all outstanding shares of Roundy's for $3.60 per share in cash.
