FSMA compliance wizard for Intentional Adulteration Rule
Registrar Corp., Hampton, Va., introduced the FSMA Compliance Wizard, a free tool that helps food facilities, importers and farms determine possible requirements under the Food Safety Modernization Act (FSMA).
The FSMA Compliance Wizard now incorporates FDA's Intentional Adulteration Rule, “Mitigation Strategies To Protect Food Against Intentional Adulteration," which requires food facilities registered with FDA to develop and implement a written food defense plan. This plan must include a vulnerability assessment and identify mitigation strategies for each identified vulnerability as well as a plan to monitor the implementation of those strategies. Most facilities are required to comply by May 2019.
