Butterball, LLC and the National Turkey Federation announce the passing of Kerry Curtis Doughty on March 17, 2020, following a brave battle with cancer. Doughty was the immediate past chairman of the National Turkey Federation (NTF) and the president and CEO of Butterball until his departure from the company in December 2018.
Hormel Foods has taken action to protect its global workforce of 20,000 team members and stakeholders during the COVID-19 outbreak. In addition, the company announced its pledge of $1 million in cash and product donations for hunger relief and food insecurity as a result of this crisis.
A person who has tested positive for COVID-19 was on-site at the Georgia World Congress Center during MODEX 2020 (March 9-12). This person was working on-site for a trade show marketing and labor provider from March 4-14. We are told the person tested positive on March 17 and is recovering at this time.
