Lightlife is partnering with Canadian quick-serve restaurant chain Pizza Pizza, adding Lightlife's plant-based chicken items for the first time, including a Lightlife Plant-Based Chick’n Sandwich and Plant-Based Chick’n Bites.
Fortune Fish & Gourmet, a leading processor, distributor and importer of seafood, meats, and gourmet products, has acquired CCT Logistics, a Theodore, Alabama-based 68,000-square-foot cold storage facility. Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.

North Carolina Ports has reached an agreement with Cold Summit Development to build a 280,000 square foot multi-suite cold storage facility located on the Ports Raleigh Street property. The facility would offer 40,000 pallet positions and could house a broad range of product categories, including pork, poultry, produce, grocery as well as life sciences at temperatures ranging from negative 20 degrees Fahrenheit to 57 degrees Fahrenheit.
Tyson Foods will invest $300 million to construct a 325,000-square-foot, state-of-the-art production facility in Cane Creek Centre, an industrial park jointly owned by the City of Danville and Pittsylvania County in Virginia. The new facility will be used primarily for the production of fully cooked Tyson products like Any’tizer Snacks and Chicken Nuggets. The company has committed to purchasing 60 million pounds of Virginia-grown chicken over the next three years. Virginia successfully competed with North Carolina for the project, which will create 376 new jobs.
Bonduelle Fresh Americas, the U.S.-based, wholly-owned subsidiary of Bonduelle and home of Ready Pac Foods, has appointed Andrea Montagna as Chief Executive Officer. Perdue Farms, through its Franklin P. and Arthur W. The donation is part of Perdue’s “Delivering Hope To Our Neighbors” hunger relief initiative.
