Gifford’s Ice Cream started making ice cream again at its Skowhegan, Maine, plant for the first time after a fire ripped through production facilities, forcing them to rely on co-packers.

MariMed, a multi-state cannabis operator focused on health and wellness, announced a joint collaboration with Boston ice cream brand Emack & Bolio’s to create a line-up of cannabis-infused vegan and dairy ice cream in outrageous flavors. The ice cream will contain MariMed’s formulations that include the same full spectrum of natural cannabinoids and terpines from whole plants as are used in MariMed’s award-winning brands, such as Betty’s Eddies and K Fusion. This innovative new category of cannabis products is expected to debut in Massachusetts this year, followed by launches in other legal cannabis markets.
