The onsite solar portion of the project will supply approximately 10% of the plant’s annual electricity.

One of the first electric vehicle hubs of its kind in the world, the project is a foundational step toward Sysco’s goal to reduce its direct emissions.

UNFI installed its largest solar array investment to date at its Howell, New Jersey distribution center. 

The new state-of-the-art facility is designed to support the movement of fresh produce from field to table, and will employ renewable energy and automation to maximize throughput, extend produce shelf life, and minimize costs.
