The Refrigerated Foods Association (RFA) is mourning the loss of Martin Mitchell, who passed away on December 19, 2021 after a four-year battle with leukemia. Marty served as the Refrigerated Foods Association’s Technical Director almost since the group’s inception in 1980.
Traditionally, one overlooked and underutilized labor pool has been women. The industry has been a male-dominated field for decades, but the need for additional help today has put women in a better situation to start a cold chain career.

Ott will assume his new role on June 1st and succeeds outgoing President & CEO, Corey Rosenbusch who left the Association earlier this year to take the helm as President & CEO of The Fertilizer Institute.
