As a leading wholesale distributor of fresh and frozen beef, pork, poultry and additional food products, Mies Family Foods is expanding its operations to meet increasing demand while significantly upgrading its distribution capabilities. The new facility will more than triple the company's current capacity.
Total space encompasses 1.5 million square feet with 360,000 square feet available for additional development, plus blast freezing capacity of over 1 million pounds per day.
The warehouse facility will be attached to Upfield’s New Century production plant through an above-ground conveyor bridge being constructed by Upfield and allowing its finished product to be delivered directly into the warehouse, with 100,000 square feet available for other customers.

The new 335,000-square-foot facility in Kansas City is part of a strategic collaboration with Canadian Pacific Kansas City (CPKC) to co-locate Americold warehouse facilities on the CPKC network.
Adjacent to the CPKC intermodal terminal, the facility will have 50,000 pallet positions.
