As part of its strategy to increase production of consumer ready products, Tyson Foods is expanding its case-ready meats business by repurposing plant capacity in South Carolina.
The plant will be a case-ready, meat-cutting and packaging operation that converts fresh beef and pork brought in from other locations into steaks, chops, roasts and ground beef.

Tyson Fresh Meats, Springdale, Ark., broke ground on a new case-ready beef and pork processing facility in Eagle Mountain City, Utah, as part of its newly formed Portioned Protein Innovations team.
The acquisition includes Pini Polska, a meat processing and packaging plant; Hamburger Pini, a case-ready meat plant; and Royal Chicken, an investment project currently in development.
The project will include a 55,000-square-foot addition for new production lines and warehouse space and increase the plant’s capacity to produce fresh ground beef, beef and pork cuts and meal kits for retail grocers.
