Tyson Foods, Inc., Springdale, Ark., announced plans to sell its Sara Lee Frozen Bakery and Van’s businesses to private equity firm Kohlberg & Co., Mount Kisco, N.Y.
FiveStar Gourmet Foods, an Ontario, Calif.-based provider of fresh and frozen prepared foods, announced plans to expand to the East Coast with a $20 million investment in a food manufacturing and distribution operation near Naples, Fla.
It might be a coincidence that Albuquerque Tortilla Co. Inc.’s new prepared foods plant extension gives the company’s headquarters a horseshoe shape.
