KT Produce provides premium-quality fruits and vegetables to a vast assortment of foodservice establishments including restaurants, schools, hotels, military bases, healthcare facilities, and other institutions throughout Arkansas, Oklahoma, and Missouri.
New DG Fresh facilities in Oklahoma, California and Kentucky are expected to create 65 jobs and support approximately 1,500 Dollar General stores.

Dollar General announces the planned addition of three new DG Fresh facilities to support its strategic, multi-phased shift to self-distribution of frozen and refrigerated products such as dairy, deli and other perishable items. As Dollar General works to build the infrastructure to better support customers, the Company is investing in communities across the country and creating new career opportunities. As of May 2020, Dollar General was self-distributing to more than 9,000 stores from six DG Fresh cold storage facilities.
This new technology utilizes the power of the sun to cool moderate refrigerated items such as dairy and produce during transport.

Challenge Dairy Products Inc., a Dublin, Calif.-based dairy foodservice producer, is said to be the first to deliver products via a solar-powered, zero-emissions, commercial-use transport refrigeration unit (TRU), powered by Rayfrigeration, Dublin, Calif.
The partnership will give consumers more access to the Garden-Fresh Foods line of products.
