Star Refrigeration, the UK-based parent company of Azane Inc., Missoula, Mont., completed the manufacture and install of a new cold store facility for Lineage Logistics, Novi, Mich., at its new Great Haddon, UK, site.
The new campus will feature an approximately 1 million-square-foot refrigerated/frozen warehouse.

Publix Super Markets, Inc., Lakeland, Fla., selected LEO A DALY, Omaha, Neb., and its subsidiary engineering firm Lockwood, Andrews & Newnam, Inc. (LAN), Houston, Texas, to design a new refrigerated and frozen foods distribution campus in McLeansville, N.C.
This change will leverage the warehouse network that Nestlé already uses for its frozen meals and snacks.

Nestlé USA, Arlington, Va., announced plans to exit its company-owned frozen direct-store-delivery (DSD) network for its pizza and ice cream businesses and will transition to a warehouse model.
This facility is said to be one of the largest frozen storage facilities of its kind in the United States.

NewCold, The Netherlands, announced plans to invest $90 million to build a 140-foot-high, 25-million-cubic-foot, sub-zero cold storage warehouse in Burley, Idaho.
The newly added warehouse space will be used to store dry foods, in turn opening up current space in its warehouse for additional refrigerated and frozen products.
