New features atHormel Foods Corp.'sconsumer Web site (www.hormel.com) let consumers download and print their own coupons for retail deli sandwich meats (55 cents), pepperoni (55 cents), microwave bacon, party trays and even refrigerated entrees ($2.00).
Hormel said coupon use is still rising and that an estimated 34 percent of female consumers are using coupons more frequently than they were six months ago. Moreover, nearly 70 percent of 4,500 people surveyed say they will print and redeem Internet coupons for products they are interested in purchasing.
Hormel, Austin, Minn., said it is partnering with Coupons Inc., Mountain View, Calif., to let consumers download one of every type of coupon every 60 days.
Another new Web site feature, "My Account" lets consumers print coupons, manage e-newsletter subscriptions and keep track of their favorite products. Soon, the program also will enable consumers to store their favorite recipes as well, Hormel said.
