TheChicago Tribunereported the recent death of Timothy Harris, 53, the CEO of specialty baker Nonni's Food Co. and a 25-year plus food industry veteran.
Harris and the Wind Point Partners equity group acquired Nonni's in 2004. Previously, Harris was president and chief operating officer at ConAgra Foods' Refrigerated and Prepared Foods group. There, he was responsible for a $3.5 billion brand portfolio that included Butterball, Amour, Swift, Eckrich, Healthy Choice, Cooks and Hebrew National.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to The Midtown Educational Foundation, 718 S. Loomis, Chicago, Ill. 60607 or Grace Lutheran Church of LaGrange (Ill.) Harris lived in Western Springs, Ill.
