TheNational Frozen & Refrigerated Foods Association, Harrisburg, Pa., (NFRA) said it established the NFRA Refrigerated Food Hall of Fame to honor individuals for refrigerated food industry contributions.
Officials said the lateJ.L. Kraft, founder ofKraft Foods;John Bottomley, senior director of retail and merchandising forSargento Foods, Inc.; andJohnny L. Harris, dairy category manager forHarris Teeter, Inc.will be the first recipients of this prestigious award.
NFRA said it will host an induction ceremony for the inaugural awards during the National Frozen & Refrigerated Foods Convention on Tuesday, Oct. 19, 2010, at the Hilton San Francisco.
