Bernatello's buys Five Star Frozen Foods
Bernatello’s Pizza, Inc., Edina, Minn., said it purchased the assets of Five Star Frozen Foods Inc., a competitor in Kaukauna, Wis. Terms were not disclosed.
Bernatello's process and distributes retail frozen pizza under the Bellatoria, Bernatello’s and Roma brands. It also distributes frozen pizza, snacks and appetizers. Bernatello said it will add Five Star Frozen Foods' frozen pizza brands, including ORV’s and Borbello’s. Meanwhile, the deal should expand Bernatello’s frozen pizza manufacturing capabilities and strengthen its direct store delivery distribution channel reach, officials said.
